Hi there! My name is Jaime and I am so excited that you are here! I hope this blog provides simple recipes, nutrition and health information without obsession, and general tips to be our better selves. My goal is to help you to realize that building a healthy relationship with food is more important than how many calories, carbohydrates, or fat grams are in it. I want to promote a space that celebrates eating and the joy of food, fosters a better relationship with food and your body, and maximizes your health through gentle nutrition and movement. I believe in freeing ourselves from the diet culture that saturates our daily lives and work towards intuitive eating, mindfulness, and self love.
A little background on me - I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition degree from University of Massachusetts Amherst and my Dietetic Internship at Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA. I am currently living in Tacoma, WA with my boyfriend, Brad, and am working as an Outpatient Dietitian at a program that serves those struggling with eating disorders. While living in Tacoma, I hope to enjoy the BEAUTY of nature that surrounds Washington and the pacific northwest.
My home is New Jersey / Philadelphia and I grew up going to the jersey shore and fan-girling over Pauly D (kinda kidding…). I value family and friendship more than anything and am extremely close with my extended family and some life-long friends. Some of my favorite things are - cheesy romantic comedies, dark chocolate, a big glass of red wine, watching the NY Yankees or NY Giants, going for long walks to get my exercise, and nerd-ing over nutrition talk with my colleagues!
