Chocolate Oatmeal

Imagine this: waking up, hot cup of coffee and a big bowl of oatmeal that tastes like chocolate with flavors of both salty and sweet. That’s what this was. A perfect mix of salty (from the Chocolate Sea Salt Granola by Purely Elizabeth) and sweet from my overly ripened banana. It was dreamy - and easy to make!


Directions:

  1. Make oatmeal with milk or water in either microwave or stove top. Can also pour overnight into a mason jar in fridge and it will form into a oatmeal like texture.

  2. add cocoa powder for chocolate flavor and look

  3. add toppings

  4. enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup oats

  • 1 cup water or milk

  • 1 tsp of cocoa powder (less is more here - the flavor and color go a long way with just a little bit!)

  • 1/3 cup of Purely Elizabeth Granola

  • 1 small banana sliced

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (or flax seeds) for extra fiber and nutrients
